6) Go to the casino on the off nights: If you want to increase your chances of winning at casino slot games and also have more fun playing them, avoid the busy nights (Friday and Saturday nights). Go on the off nights instead when more of the slot games will be free. On the busy nights casinos are loud, there's lots of cigarette smoke in the air, and you may find that your favorite slot games are all taken and will have to play other games you are unfamiliar with. If you find that the slot game you are playing is not paying out and you want to move to another game, you will most likely find most of the other games are taken. To me, that's no fun at all. I like to go to the casino on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday nights when they are much quieter, less crowded, and I've got more space and freedom to play the games I like to play. If I find a slot game I am on is not paying out, I will often move to the game next to it and try my luck there. I may move around from game to game quite a bit and that's not possible on the busiest nights. All in all, you will have more fun on an off night, unless of course you enjoy a crowded atmosphere, noise, and cigarette smoke.
7) Pace yourself, take your time: When playing casino slot games you should take your time and enjoy the games. You should not try to cram as many spins as possible into every hour of play, but pause for a few moments in between spins, take your time, have fun. Personally, I find playing slot games this way to be relaxing. When you play a round of golf do you try to get through the course as quickly as possible, or do you make it a leisurely, relaxing game? You should play the slots the same way. If you get a nice win on a spin and the credits are piling up with sound effects and the flashing lights, do not shut that off to rush into the next spin... let it keep going and enjoy your little win. Savor it. You also should not go to the casino too often. I like to go every two weeks or so. If you have a good night and win $100 on the games, don't go back to the casino the next night expecting to win again. Wait a couple weeks... enjoy your good night. Savor it.
8) Don't spend your money on casino drinks: Personally, when I go to the casino I go to play the games. I do NOT go to drink booze and get drunk. Casino drinks can be expensive (at least, the casinos not located in Las Vegas) and alcohol will impair your judgment, which is what the casinos want. Most casinos offer free non-alcoholic beverages (coffee and soda pop) and I would rather spend five bucks on a slot game than on a cup of draft beer. Stick with the free beverages and save some money!
9) Use your casino rewards card: Most casinos offer "rewards cards." You simply sign up for a card and earn points which are redeemable for cash, gifts or food at the casino. For instance, a casino may offer one point for every dollar wagered and at that rate, you get back $20 for every $2000 you wager. If you bet low amounts on the slots as I do, it will take quite a while to earn that $20, but still, it is worth using your rewards card whenever you play the casino slots. the benefits of using casino club cards.
10) Play slots at home for free: A good way to learn how casino slot games work -- without losing a dime -- is to get an authentic casino slots game for your computer. I am NOT talking about online casinos here (stay far, far away from online casinos!) but a computer game such as "IGT Slots Texas Tea" -- a computer game you buy on disc which has roughly 30 different slot games based on REAL IGT slot games that authentically reproduce the actual casino games, including realistic payouts. I've got IGT Slots on my own computer and playing these slots has been very educational. Plus, if I ever get the urge to play slots but don't want to lose any money or drive 30 miles to the casino, this computer game is indeed almost as much fun as being in the casino and does indeed scratch the itch. I highly recommend this computer game for anyone who loves playing the slots.
There you have it... tips on how to maximize your casino slot game experience, have some fun, and maybe even go home a winner instead of a big loser. Remember, casino slot games should be fun to play and you should look at the slot games as a form of entertainment, not a way to win a fortune.
