Getting three or more "Gold Coin" bonus symbols on a spin gives you the bonus round with 8 free spins. Four "Gold Coins" symbols will give you 15 free spins, and five symbols gives you 20 free spins. It is easy to retrigger the bonus round: during the bonus round, if you get two more Gold Coins on a spin, you get an additional five free spins, three Gold Coins gets you 8 more, and so on...

During the Buffalo Gold bonus round, the wild card symbols turn into multipliers, which will be either 2x or 3x. The best you can do is to get all three wild card symbols (one each on reels 2, 3, and 4) that turn into 3x multipliers, which would multiply all your winning combinations by 27x.

During the Buffalo Gold bonus round, gold Buffalo head symbols can appear on any bonus round spin. The more Buffalo head symbols you collect during the bonus round, the better chance you have at big wins. The Buffalo head symbols add up to replace the other animal symbols (the elks, wolves, and eagles) with buffalo symbols. Once you collect five buffalo heads, the wolves are replaced with buffalos. Get another five buffalo heads and the elks are replaced with buffalo symbols. Another five buffalo heads will replace all the eagles with buffalos. The best you can do during the Buffalo Gold bonus round is to collect 15 buffalo heads, which increases the chances of loading up the screen with buffalo symbols and getting large wins.

If you are lucky, you will retrigger the bonus round several times, which gives you more spins to collect the gold Buffalo heads, and gives you a better chance of "big win" spins during the bonus round. With all 15 Buffalo heads collected plus getting the muliplier wild cards you can get some very large wins during the Buffalo Gold bonus round.

All in all, Aristocrat's BUFFALO GOLD slot machine is a good game to play if you are looking for some big wins without having to bet maximum credits. I have personally played Buffalo Gold more than a few times in Las Vegas casinos (the game is not available in Washington State where I live, for some reason) with some luck. Buffalo Gold is my personal favorite Buffalo game to play in the series and I only wish the game was available in my home state so I could play it more often.
